Friday, July 4th from 12-3pm at Phil Chacon Park in the International District. This is the birth park of our annual celebration of anti-war, anti-imperialism and liberation! This event is free and open to all: families, children, elders, LGBTQ+ folxs welcome! Folks are welcome to bring prepared meal &/or a dessert to share. Reject the lie of the #FourthofJuly! Neither Africans, nor Natives, nor Migrants nor any peoples exploited and brutalized by Amerikkkan settler colonialism knew freedom at the inception of this so-called holiday in 1776. The exploitation and murder of our ancestors continued unabated as the myth of this country was born. Join us at Phil Chacon Park on Friday July 4th as we celebrate resistance in the #FourthoftheLie: an afternoon of revolutionary speakers, music, delicious shared food (with vegan options!) and international working class solidarity against oppression. We expose the lie of American Independence Day and continue to build so called "Albuquerque's" movement for social justice against imperialism, capitalism, and colonialism. This year we expose the GENOCIDE of our people from Palestine to Sudan as it is funded by this empire, we remind settlers and guests that Migrants have always been welcome and xenophobic racist police systems like ICE & CBP are tearing apart our families and profiting from the myth of war on the U.S, when we know the United Snakes Empire is responsible for the violences and atrocities across our international community! We invite comrades to celebrate resistance with delicious food on a beautiful day.
