Albuquerque Public Art on Instagram: "✨📢Calling all Albuquerque Artists!📢✨ Local artists are invited to submit proposals for small, medium, and large scale site-specific temporary public art installations that will activate downtown spaces with light for City Brights II. Up to 10 sites will be lit up with installations, architectural light interventions, light sculptures, performance, projections, and more during Fall 2024 into early 2025. Artists are encouraged to challenge traditional artistic mediums and explore unconventional digital or light affects; all projects must include light as a primary element. Awards are in the amount of $2,500, $5,000, and $10,000 and should be used to cover all materials, equipment, transportation, labor, and artist design fee. 🗓A free in-person workshop will be held at Gallery One on Thursday, June 13 at 6 p.m. to review the proposal process and the qualities of potential sites. Applicants will also have a chance to brainstorm ideas, ask questions, and get feedback.
