Their daughters Fela Vigil-Piñon and Theresa (Tessa) Córdova, Ph.D., co-direct the laughter-filled production with poignant messages. The play, originally presented at INTAR Hispanic American Arts Center in New York City June 3, 1987, could occur anywhere at any time, but especially rings true today. In the storyline, the individuals of the Cruz/Cantú family experience problems and hopes of their own, and just when it appears that nothing positive could occur, Tia Dolores Cantú sees the image of the Virgin Mary on a tortilla she is preparing as part of an order for her catering business. Then, pandemonium occurs. One must see the ending for the true meaning of all the activity on stage. Tickets cost $10. Due to limited space, call 575-779-0445 for reservations."
