This ride is an attempt to hold myself accountable in my resistance against the dominant cultural expectation to ignore and deny the history of genocide and displacement that occurred across this country, while celebrating and feasting on the fourth Thursday of November. This small act is not intended to absolve or pander, but to provide a means to support and be with my community in a way that acknowledges the horrific acts our Indigenous communities have suffered and highlights the beauty that continues to exist in this world.
