Strong Towns Albuquerque
There have been a few posts on here lately about forming a local Strong Towns group, and it looks like someone has taken the initiative to get the ball rolling. Strong Towns, founded by Charles Marohn, a former transportation engineer and city planner, is an advocacy group that points to American post-World War II suburban development as a failure and aims to enhance communities with urban planning ideas like walkability, mixed-use zoning, and infill development.
There will be a casual meet & greet this Thursday, Nov 30, 6p at High & Dry Brewing (529 Adams St NE).
